Review: Fresh. Sugar Tulip Tinted Lip Treatment Sunscreen.

5:38:00 AM

As most of you will know, I had an amazing trip to the USA in July and I came back with a bunch of goodies from my wish list, and also a whole lot more goodies from unexpected, spur of the moment purchases.
And the Fresh. Sugar Tulip Tinted Lip Treatment Sunscreen, SPF 15 was one of them.

I had heard nothing about Fresh. before, however when I was at the counter in Sephora, the lady at the counter told me she had one in every colour and she absolutely loves it. So in that moment I purchased one.
I regretted the purchase right after I left the store, however when I used it the next day I absolutely fell in love with the product.

So I came home and checked out their website. This is the extract from Fresh.
Sugar Tulip Tinted Lip Treatment Sunscreen SPF 15 moisturizes, protects, and smoothes the lips while leaving a sheer hot pink tint, offering sheer coverage or buildable color. It is the perfect partner to our popular Sugar Lip Treatment Sunscreen SPF 15.
For those savy blog readers out there, the ingredients listings:

CERA ALBA, RICINUS COMMUNIS (CASTOR) SEED OIL, SIMMONDSIA CHINENSIS (JOJOBA) SEED OIL, HYDROGENATED OLIVE OIL DECYL ESTERS, ETHYLHEXYL METHOXYCINNAMATE, VITIS VINIFERA (GRAPE) SEED OIL, BUTYL METHOXYDIBENZOYLMETHANE, PARFUM, CERA CARNAUBA, PERSEA GRATISSIMA (AVOCADO) OIL, LIMNANTHES ALBA (MEADOWFOAM) SEED OIL, PASSIFLORA INCARNATA SEED OIL, SUCROSE TETRASTEARATE TRIACETATE, RIBES NIGRUM (BLACK CURRANT) SEED OIL, HELIANTHUS ANNUUS (SUNFLOWER) SEED OIL, RETINYL PALMITATE, TOCOPHEROL, ASCORBYL TETRAISOPALMITATE, ASCORBYL PALMITATE, CI 77891 (TITANIUM DIOXIDE), CI 45410 (RED 28 LAKE), AMMONIUM GLYCYRRHIZATE, CI 15850 (RED 7), CI 15985 (YELLOW 6 LAKE), POLYGLYCERYL-3 POLYRICINOLEATE, VANILLIN, BHT, CI 15850 (RED 7 LAKE), ALUMINUM HYDROXIDE, PROPYL GALLATE, CI 42090 (BLUE 1 LAKE), LIMONENE, CITRAL, BENZYL ALCOHOL, LINALOOL, GERANIOL

Overall, the product contains a blend of nourishing oils, grape seed polyphenols and sugar which is a natural moisture  loss precentor. Hence the name Sugar.
There were heaps and heaps of colours in the Sugar Collection, the one in the picture is called Tulip and it has a beautiful pinkish red.
The cost of the product was USD$22.50 on their website, I think I may have purchased it a few dollars more expensive at Sephora - I can't quite remember.
For me I think this is more on the expensive side for a lip stick/gloss/moisturiser, however it has several properties combined into one product.
Color is amazing, bright and durable.
Texture is non-greasy or non-sticky.
Moisturised for a long period of time.
Contains SPF15 to protect your lips from harmful UV rays.
Because of all of the above, I went back to a Sephora the day I used it and purchased one for my mum as well.

I can't find the picture from my swatch, but I will edit it into the post tomorrow. My Fresh. Sugar Tulip Tinted Lip Treatment Sunscreen sits on my desk (hence the picture) at all times so it is there an available when I feel like the air conditioning is drying out my lips, OR, if I need a pop of colour to look more awake when I have to go into an unexpected afternoon meeting.

I am so curious about the other products in the Fresh brand now.
Does anyone own other Fresh products that they would like to recommend to me?
